Harrow Crown Court is a dedicated Crown Court centre serving North West London, located at Hailsham Drive, off Headstone Drive, in the London Borough of Harrow. Commissioned in 1991 and designed by Kyle Stewart, the purpose-built courthouse contains eight courtrooms and was opened to relieve pressure on the Middlesex Guildhall, which had until then been the principal criminal venue for north London. Today the court hears indictable and either-way criminal cases referred up from magistrates' courts across the boroughs of Harrow, Brent, Barnet, Hillingdon and surrounding areas of North West London, with daily Crown Court listings covering trials, sentencing, plea and trial preparation hearings (PTPH), appeals from the magistrates' court, and confiscation proceedings.
