About Leeds Combined Court Centre

Leeds Crown Court sits inside the Leeds Combined Court Centre, a red-brick modernist building completed in 1982 and designed by the Property Services Agency at a cost of £9.7 million. Before 1982, assizes and quarter sessions in Leeds were held at Leeds Town Hall. The Oxford Row building is one of the busiest Crown Court venues in the North of England, sharing its site with Leeds County Court, the Family Court and the Business & Property Courts. Notable historical proceedings include the original 1976 trial of Stefan Kiszko, later overturned as one of the UK’s most significant miscarriages of justice.
