Teesside Crown Court, located at Centre Square, Middlesbrough, TS1 2AE, is one of the busiest Crown Court venues in the North East of England. As part of the Teesside Combined Court Centre, it handles serious criminal cases including murder, manslaughter, robbery, serious drug offences, sexual offences, fraud, and other indictable-only matters that are committed from local magistrates' courts across the Teesside region. The court building houses twelve courtrooms and was purpose-built in 1991 by architects Napper Collerton in a post-modernist style, constructed in red brick with stone dressings at a cost of £15.1 million. It replaced the outdated facilities at Middlesbrough Town Hall, which had been used for criminal trials since the early 1970s. A notable feature of the site is Graham Ibbeson's sculpture "Scales of Justice", unveiled outside the building in 1994. The court serves communities across Middlesbrough, Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar and Cleveland, Hartlepool, and parts of North Yorkshire.

There is no public parking on-site, but paid off-street parking is available nearby at Fry Street and France Street car parks. Two blue badge parking spaces are located directly outside the court building on Elm Street. Visitors are advised to allow extra time for security screening, which is in operation at all entrances.
